Sonora, CA — Money is coming to Tuolumne County for some traffic projects.
This week the California Transportation Commission allocated $361,000 to the county. The money will be used to update traffic signals, improve sight distance, and install vehicle detector loops.
The improvements will be made on Highway 49 near Main Street in Jamestown, and on Highway 108 at Soulsbyville Road. In all, $254-million was allocated statewide to 41 transportation projects. The money is primarily from Proposition 1B, the 2006 voter approved transportation bond.
