Firefighters Fired Up for Christmas

Sonora, CA – Ring in the Yule Tide by giving a needy child something they really want for Christmas…a toy.

Today is the 3rd annual Sue Arrouzet Toy Drive.  All you have to do is drop off a new unwrapped toy.  Cal Fire, Tuolumne County Fire Department, and the Stanislaus National Forest will be standing by to take your donation in the Sonora Walmart parking lot.  You can also meet the woman the event honors, Fire Capt. Sue Arrouzet.  She was injured in the line of duty in 2011 while battling a house fire in Copperopolis when a portion of the home fell on her and two other firefighters.

The toy drive runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  All the donations will be distributed to children in Tuolumne and Calaveras Counties.
