Sonora Pass Opened

Five days after closing for stormy weather, Sonora Pass Highway 108 is open to traffic.  All three passes were shut down last Friday due to the first storm of the year.  Caltrans Spokesperson Chantel Miller says, ”They [crews] found the normal snow, debris, and ice and got out there and cleaned it up so they could open it up to traffic at 10 this morning.”

Miller did not know how many inches of snow fell in the area.  Highway 4 Ebbetts Pass was re-opened on Monday.

Yosemite National Park crews are still working on Highway 120 Tioga Pass.  There is no word on when that pass will open up to travel.  We will pass along more information as it becomes available.
