Body Found In Lake Tulloch

Lake Tulloch, CA — Calaveras and Tuolumne County boating enforcement units and divers have been working since after 6 p.m. this evening to retrieve a body out of Lake Tulloch.

Tuolumne County Sheriff’s spokesperson Scott Johnson reports a man was walking over the O’Byrne’s Ferry Bridge at around 4 p.m. and spotted a body.  “He called it in and our deputies responded and they located a body about ten feet off the shoreline in about ten feet of water. We’re unable to determine whether it is a male or female,” says Johnson.

Fishing gear was found on the shore nearby, according to Johnson. He says they will not know if the person fell in or if there was any foul play until they investigate further.
