Dollar General Store Approved

Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Planning Commission has approved a new Dollar General store off of Soulsbyville Road.

The 9,100 sq. ft. structure will be built on the 1.4-acre lot on the west corner of the intersection of Soulsbyville Road and Hwy 108. The commission also approved a 96 square foot, 21-foot tall sign, and a conditional use permit.

Community Resources Agency Director Bev Shane says, “They could start building within the next few months.”

That is barring no appeal in the next ten days to the Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors.

The Tennessee based nationwide retail store is currently completing a 9,100 sq. ft. store in Jamestown. A grand opening celebration for that location will be Saturday, September 27th.
