Let The Games Begin

The Friday Night Lights are back on as area teams hit the gridiron for the first week of the High School Football Season.

Sonora High hit the road and headed to Oakdale for its opener.  The Wildcats lost 28 to 14. You can hear every game live on Star 92.7 all season with the play by play from Gary Holman, and color commentary from Mike Suess.

Meanwhile, Summerville headed to Denair. The Bears charged onto the field took home a win with a score of 32 to 6. Summerville games can also be heard live on 93.5 KKBN.  Mike Aldrich and Mark Ferreira will bring you all the hard-hitting action.

Bret Harte High School was at home against ROP and it was a high scoring game. The frogs walk away with a win 47 to 30 and Calaveras High School hit the road to McNair for a close game, but ultimately were defeated 55 to 48.
