Marijuana Grow In Forest

Tuolumne County, CA — Law enforcement officials eradicated 2,025 marijuana plants this week in the Stanislaus National Forest.

The effort was carried out by the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team, Tuolumne County Probation Department, California Department of Fish and Wildlife and the U.S. Forest Service.

A federal search warrant was issued on a piece of property off Forest Road 4N18 in the Mt. Knight area of the Stanislaus National Forest. Authorities found the marijuana, and several firearms. No arrests were made. California Department of Fish and Wildlife are investigating possible water resource violations that occurred on the property. There is an ongoing investigation underway.

So far this season, Tuolumne County law enforcement agencies have eradicated 98,075 marijuana plants.
