ATV Crash

Stanislaus National Forest, CA — A man suffered major injuries and was flown to Modesto after an ATV crash near Pinecrest Lake.

The accident happened yesterday on Forest Road 5N01 in the Eagle Meadows area of the Stanislaus National Forest at 2:30 pm.

The CHP reports 36-year-old John Patrick Kelly of Manteca was driving a Kodiak 450 ATV at about 35 mph. Kelly hit a rut in the road causing the ATV to rollover twice, ejecting him from the 4-wheeler onto the dirt road.  Kelly was air ambulanced to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto suffering major internal injuries.

The CHP reports Kelly was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.  Click here for the site of the accident.
