Supervisors Will Hear Project Appeal

Valley Springs, CA — Plans for a Business Park in Valley Springs will go before the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors.

The Calaveras County Planning Commission earlier denied a proposal to rezone a 6.7 acre parcel near the intersection of Highway 26 and Nove Way into M4, which is a Business Park. The property is currently zoned General Commercial and General Industrial, and the Commission felt that rezoning the property would not be consistent with the Valley Springs Community Plan. The Commission also noted that it was unclear what types of businesses would eventually reside in the Business Park. The project is referred to as “Nove Plaza” and the applicant is Guy Meyers.

The Supervisors will also decide whether to allow the Ebbetts Pass Veterans Memorial District to construct a memorial wall, and statue of a soldier, in Murphys Park.

Tuesday’s meeting starts at 9am at the Government Center in San Andreas.
