Human and Animal Needs Funded

Sonora, CA — Man and his four-legged friends get some help from the Sonora Area Foundation.

The Sonora Area Foundation has awarded the Tuolumne GRACE (Giving Respect and Caring Encouragement) Fund $25,000 to aid county residents when they have exhausted all other resources. In addition, Lighthouse Ministries was given $15,000 to fund its Tuesday night community dinner.

Dogs and cats got some help with a $20,000 grant to the Friends of the Animal Community (FOAC) to strengthen that organization.  Sonora Cat Rescue was awarded $10,000 to continue its work regarding the needs of the Mother Lode’s feral and abandoned cat and kitten population.
