Summerville Changes Bleacher Plans

Tuolumne, CA — In an effort to cut costs, the Summerville High School Board of Trustees has scrapped plans to install aluminum bleachers as part of the stadium renovation project.

At a Special Board of Trustees meeting this week, the board decided to go with concrete bleachers. Superintendent Robert Griffith says the change will save somewhere between $200-300K. It is not expected to impact the overall time line for the project.

The overall stadium renovation project also includes reconfiguring and replacing the field, ADA upgrades, and renovating the snack shack. The district is hoping to complete construction by the start of the next football season.
