Middle Of March Events

The middle of March a great time to enjoy events that involve dancing.

One dancing celebration is Murphys Irish Day held this Saturday. The daylong family celebration of the historic gold rush town of Murphys features a pancake breakfast, live entertainment and at 11:00am the parade. All the activities are held on Main Street in downtown Murphys. Irish Day is presented each year by the Murphys Business Association. Details about the event are in the event listing here.

Saturday evening at the Tuolumne Veterans Memorial Hall is a Prime Rib Dinner and Dance to benefit the Tuolumne Park and Recreation Economic Services Corporation. The an adult only event will open its doors 5:00pm for dinner and dancing after. Visit the event listing for contact information here.

Dance with the Sierra Waldorf School in the Rites of Spring Auction. The theme is “By the Light of the Silvery Moon – A Masquerade Ball” The catered dinner, no host bar with live music will be at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds starting at 5:00pm with dancing 9:00pm to 11:00pm. It is the 154th Annual Fireman’s Dance at Sonora Opera Hall as well. Dance to live music with food available from 7:00pm to midnight at the Sonora Opera Hall. Proceeds benefit the Sonora Fire Museum and preservation of historic fire trucks. Ticket prices and more details are in the Fireman’s Dance event listing.
