Commission To Vote On ATT Tower And Restaurant Project

Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Planning Commission will hear about two notable projects at is next meeting.

The commission will vote whether to issue a Conditional Use Permit for the construction of an ATT wireless telecommunications tower. It would stand 105 ft. and be located 8330 Enterprise Drive. It is approximately 4,200 ft. west of the intersection of Highway 120 and Enterprise Drive, and situated within the Hatler Industrial Park. Click here to view a map. The tower would have 12 antennas, an equipment building, and be constructed to resemble a pine tree.

The Commission will also hear a proposal to turn an existing 4,090 sq. ft. building into a location that would house two restaurants. It is located in the 18500 block of Highway 120 in Groveland. One of the restaurants would have a drive through window on the western edge of the building. The applicants have not stated to the county what types of restaurants would be taking up residence. The applicants are also proposing to construct a new 800 sq. ft. commercial building on the property.

The Planning Commission meeting will start at 6pm on March 19th in the Tuolumne County Supervisors meeting room.
