Calaveras: Speed Limits, Finances, And More

San Andreas, CA — Calaveras County Board of Supervisors will discuss several things in their meeting on Tuesday, March 11th.

Highlights of what is to be discussed include possibly approving $174,926 from the California Department of Parks and Recreation Division of Boating and Waterways Boating Safety to fund the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Marine Safety Unit.

Also to be discussed are the fees for short term vacation rental administrative use permits and the fee for renewing a permit. Related details about permits in the Lake Tulloch area are in the March 27th, 2013 news story “Vacation Rental Permit Required“.

The board will vote on a resolution to establish a 25 mile per hour zone on Black Oak Drive in Arnold. Another resolution could establish speed limits on Mountain Ranch Road.

The board will vote on whether to approve a maintenance agreement for the Jenny Lind Safe Routes to School Project.

The board has before it formally appointing the Calaveras Chief Probation Officer. As reported, Calaveras County Chief Probation Officer Samuel Leach was selected February 8th. The news story “New Chief Probation Officer” is here. Leach’s first day on the job would be June 2nd. His annual salary will be more than $111,000.

The Calaveras Board of Supervisors meeting will be held in their chambers at 891 Mountain Ranch Road in San Andreas beginning at 9:00AM with public comments.
