Daily Calls On Roberts Murder

Sonora, CA — The Sonora Police Department says they are still getting leads on the Rick Roberts homicide. On the morning of February 16, 49-year-old, Rick Roberts died of gunshot wounds at his auto body business at 280 Mono Way.

Chief Mark Stinson says, “We’re still receiving phone calls on a daily basis.”

The California Department of Justice assisted in the investigation and collected evidence at the murder scene. “We’re also still waiting on some evidence that was taken by the [California] Department of Justice,” adds Chief Stinson. “It was transported to the both the Ripon lab and the Sacramento lab to be processed. Hopefully we’ll get those results back within the next month or two.”

Chief Stinson says the evidence collected was physical not biological and he hopes it provides some leads to Roberts’ killer. Also, they are still asking for the public’s help. If you have information on the case, you should contact the Sonora PD at 209-532-8141.
