According to the National Weather Service, light snow is expected over the Sierra Nevada from Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
Snow accumulations of less than an inch are likely.
Snow levels will be around 5000 feet.
Light rainfall is anticipated in the central valley, with total amounts of less than a tenth of an inch.
