In honor of our Veterans, several events will be taking place across the Mother Lode today.
A Veterans Day salute will begin at 10:45am at the Columbia Public Cemetery. It is being put on by the Columbia Foot Dragoons and Grenadine Belles.
The Ebbetts Pass Veterans Memorial District will put on its annual ceremony at the Veterans monument across from Murphys Park. The Calaveras Community Band will start playing at 9:30, with the ceremony at 10.
The Copperopolis Veterans of Foreign Wars Veterans Day Parade and Celebration will run from 11am-3pm at the intersection of Main Street and Obyrnes Ferry Road in Old Copperopolis.
