Highway 49 Crash Injures Six

Tuolumne County, CA — Six people were hurt in a crash on Highway 49 and Shaws Flat Road.

The CHP reports that 19-year-old Kaitlin Krumwiede of Crestline, California was driving northbound on Highway 49 in a 2014 Nissan Versa. The CHP reports that she started to slowdown and make what appeared to be a right turn, but then changed her path and veered back to the left. Krumweide’s vehicle was then hit by a vehicle from behind driven by 32-year-old Danielle Allison of Sonora. The CHP says Allison was unable to avoid the broadside collision.

Krumwiede’s vehicle rolled over into the ditch and ended up on its roof. She and her four passengers suffered minor to major injuries and were taken away to various hospitals by ambulance. They include 19-year-old Edwardo Sanchez of Lynwood, 24-year-old Jacquelin Hahn of Long Beach, 18-year-old Seth Meyer of Lancaster, and 19-year-old Axl Tonatio of Long Beach. Allison suffered minor injuries and was taken to Sonora Regional Medical Center. The accident was reported at 10:48am yesterday morning.
