End of October Events

The last weekend of October features many smaller events across the Mother Lode.

Tonight is Halloween Family Skate Night at the High County Sports Arena hosted by the Tuolumne County Recreation Department. This annual Youth Center Fundraiser awards prizes for the best costumes and all elementary school students and their parents are welcome. View the event listing “Halloween Family Skate Night” here.

Saturday is the Stanislaus River Salmon Festival at Knights Ferry Recreation Area. Visit the historic town of Knights Ferry and see all the hands-on kid friendly booths with fly casting, salmon barbeque, live music, and interactive exhibits. More Salmon Festival details are here.

The Calaveras County Garden Club is hosting a Holiday Craft Faire.
Unique hand crafted items created by members and 39 local artisans will be available. Items for sale include ornament dolls, mini bird houses, gourds, lotions, garden art, oil paintings, orders taken for holiday swags, and more. All proceeds go to scholarships to graduating seniors as well as community beautification. For details view the Holiday Craft Faire event listing here.

In Sonora the Elks Lodge Annual Yard Sale begins to benefit Elk youth scholarships. Donations are welcome, and all items will be sold for any reasonable offer. To view the Elks Yard Sale details click here.

Lastly, Saturday evening join the Tuolumne County Farm Bureau Annual Dinner at the Sheriffs Posse Clubhouse in Jamestown. The Annual Dinner with No Host Social and BBQ Stake and Chicken Dinner is $30 at the door and everyone welcome to attend. For details view the Annual Dinner Listing here.
