Tuolumne County – Caltrans reports another week of work on the Highway 108 Bypass and delays for motorists. Flaggers will be doing one-way traffic control on Highway108 from Standard Road/Mono Way to Draper Mine Road. Crews will be working on construction along that stretch of roadway starting Sunday, October 13 through Friday, October 18 from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
Motorists can expect delays of up to 20 minutes. Caltrans offers alternative routes like Tuolumne, Soulsbyville and Phoenix Lake Roads.
The construction is part of the $52.9 million Highway 108 East Sonora Bypass Stage II Project that began on April 19, 2012. This week Caltrans announced the roadway could be opened to the public on November 1st, weather permitting.
