Concours d’Elegance This Saturday

Murphys, CA — Coming to a vineyard near you; the 17th annual Concours d’Elegance.

Ironstone Vineyards President Stephen Kautz was Thursday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”.

This Saturday, Ironstone Vineyards will be hosting the 17th annual Concours d’Elegance vintage car show from 10am until 4:30pm. The awards ceremony is scheduled for 3pm.

According to Kautz this year’s show will feature nearly three hundred original classics, including vehicles from 1902 through 1974 and a few vintage race cars from 1913 through 1975.

The purpose of the Concours d’Elegance, in addition to entertaining car buffs, is to raise funds for 4-H and Future Farmers of America. Over the past few years $500,000 has been raised for those groups.

In addition the event provides funding for local and statewide 4H and FFA (Future Farmers of America) Calaveras County Fair, and a scholarship for the winner of the State Fair Scholarship Program.

Kautz is on the Ironstone Foundation’s Board of Directors.

The “Newsmaker of the Day” is heard every weekday on AM 1450 KVML at 6:46, 7:46 and 8:46am.
