Crushing Grapes Again?

Murphys, CA — The Stevenot property near Murphys has sold and it looks like the wine will flow again as the new owner has a wine making background.

Century 21 Agent Joan Irish who sold the land says, “One of them is a wine maker in Sonoma Valley. Hopefully with-n a year they’ll have it opened back up and running fully.”

The Dragoon Ranch and Stevenot property is nearly 350 acres including vineyards and a winery. It sold to for $4.72 million on Thursday. Irish says the owners plan to produce wine.

“For the wine industry in the Murphys area, and for ultimately bringing up more tourists, it’s great. It will hopefully bring back a name that will also bring more tourists here for the wine industry,” says Irish.

Irish says anything that can be done to bring more people up to the area is beneficial to the whole community.
