Tuolumne Seeks Tourism

Sonora, CA — Several local groups seek to increase business for local businesses and organizations, the Tuolumne County Visitors Bureau has a unique role. Marketing Consultant for the Tuolumne County Visitors Bureau, Bruce Tepper, explains that while destination marketing organizations are less visible in the communities they represent, their role is to increase business for local businesses and organizations.

Tepper says, “Our marketing and advertising dollars and efforts are invested regionally, statewide, nationally and internationally.” He adds, “To entice visitors to come here, we actively promote our major events, four-season recreational opportunities, the tremendous arts community we have and of course, the very rich gold rush history that fascinates visitors from around the world.”

Tepper says there is a big difference between the role of the Tuolumne County Visitors Bureau (TCVB) and a Chamber of Commerce. He talks about local Chambers and explains in his newest blog “TCVB’s Role” here.
