Update: Winter Storm Warning For Sierra Nevada And The Mother Lode

The Winter Storm Warning will continue for the Sierra Nevada and the Central Sierra Nevada foothills through 10 PM tonight.

Through this evening, an additional two to ten inches of snow accumulation is likely above 3,000 feet and there may be some light snow accumulation at the 2,500 foot elevation.

Mountain travel impacts will likely continue throughout the evening.

A Winter Storm Warning means there will be snow covered roads and limited visibilities. Travel is not recommended while the Warning is in effect. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
