Update: Copperopolis Power Outage

Update at 3:30 p.m.: The lights are back on for all but eight of the 392 customers that lost power in the Copperopolis area of Calaveras County.

Those affected were without electricity for nearly three hours in the Copper Cove subdivision along Arrowhead Street, Signal Hill and Tomahawk trails, west of O’Byrnes Ferry Road and Lake Tulloch. PG&E reports that its preliminary determination is that the outage was caused by an “emergency issue,” but did not disclose what that issue was. Also, there is no estimated restoration time for the handful of customers that still have no electricity.
