No Leads In Murder Case, Governor Offers Reward

Governor Davis has issued a proclamation offering a 50 thousand dollar reward for information about the killings of two Tracy teen-agers.

Jason Bowen and Samuel Salinas were found dead in 1999 in the Hayward Hills. They were shot to death and left on the side of a road in a remote area.

The reward offer was requested by Hayward Police Chief Craig Calhoun.

Calhoun says all leads have been exhausted and the identity of those responsible is still unknown. He says the reward money could encourage someone with information to come forward.
