State Will Prosecute Nesler

Published Oct 12, 2001 12:48 am : Updated Jan 31, 2009 5:55 pm

The state Attorney General will handle the prosecution in the Ellie Nesler case. Nesler was arraigned
yesterday in Sonora on charges of possessing chemicals used for making methamphetamine.

Nesler was represented in her highly publicized 1993
murder trial by Sonora attorney Donald Segerstrom. He is now the county District Attorney and cannot prosecute the case because of conflict of interest
rules.
