Schools To Get Help

The California Department of Education is releasing 100 million dollars in new school performance
incentives this week. That means local school districts should have the money in several more days. Distribution of the money has been delayed since April by a
lawsuit filed by Sacramento teachers fighting their exclusion from the rewards. But state officials say they are now releasing the money to the state controllerĀ“s
office, which will shortly send the money to local districts.
