Moto-Ducks

They´re known as moto-ducks: motorized duck decoys that mimic the flashing wings of landing
ducks.

The Department of Fish and Game fears they work all too well in luring flocks within hunters´ range.

It says the new devices may be
hurting the population of mallards. It is proposing that the devices be banned during the first half of hunting season, when ducks are thought to be most likely to
be fooled.

The Fish and Game Commission is taking up the recommendation later this month.
