The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection is declaring a state-wide ban on all open
burning. The ban is in place until further notice, because of the current heat wave and extremely dry conditions.
Fires have also pulled resources from
several areas, including the Mother Lode. 6 engines from this area are helping to fight a national forest service blaze in Siskiyou County.
