Chico police say a junior high student was arrested for having a handgun on campus Friday morning.
Officials say a teacher at Chico Junior High School called 9-1-1 just after 8 a.m. to report that the student was armed. The student – who wasn´t identified – was arrested without incident and there were no injuries.The campus was locked down while police investigated.
