An Oakdale man has been sentenced to five years in prison for a drunk-driving accident that killed his mother.
42-year-old Lawrence Lirette the third pled guilty last month to vehicular manslaughter in the July 29th accident.
Lirette lost control of his Ford tempo on Highway 49 near the Moccasin Powerhouse. The car rolled and burned, killing his 74-year-old mother and injuring another passenger.
It was Lirette´s third drunk-driving conviction.
