A road maintenance worker suffered minor injuries when he was hit by a motorist on Independence Road in Calaveras County yesterday.
Highway Patrol investigators say 33-year-old Jeff Palatini of Jackson was flagging a road maintenance crew lane closure when he was clipped by a slow moving car and knocked to the ground. CHP say the older female driver of the car possibly didn´t realize she had hit Palatini and drove off. Highway Patrol is looking for the gold sedan. The road worker was treated at Mark Twain Hospital.
