Toy Recall Announced

A San Francisco company is recalling thousands of children’s toys due to choking hazards.

Pottery Barn Kids is recalling some 3,800 wooden Star Clacker toys and about three thousand wooden Ride-On Duck toys.

On the Star Clacker, the wooden peg can detach, posing a choking hazard. Also, the length of the toy’s handle is not in compliance with government standards. On the Ride-On Duck, the wheel cap can break, allowing the wheel to detach and release small parts.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission says no injuries have been reported. The clackers were sold at Pottery Barn Kids stores from April through July. The ducks were sold through stores, catalogs and the Internet from last September through June. The toys can be returned to stores.

For more information, the company can be reached at 1-866-428-6467 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Pacific time, Monday through Saturday.
