State Power Reserves Dwindling

At today´s peak of a California heat wave, managers of the state power grid expect to issue a Stage One power alert later today. A Stage Two alert is possible at peak hours late this afternoon if reserves fall below five percent. Electricity conservation is being urged to avoid the possibility of rolling blackouts if a Stage Three alert is needed.
