Tuolumne County deputies cited a 17-year old juvenile after a close call on Ferretti Road over the weekend. The youngster was driving an SUV pulling a boat and nearly struck a patrol car head-on in the wrong lane.
The deputy stopped the vehicle and found the boy had no drivers´ license or learner´s permit. He said he was driving for his grandfather, who´d had a couple of beers and was riding in the back seat. The grandfather was also cited for letting the boy drive.
