Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Department investigators have found and recovered a body from the bottom of Beardsley Lake, north east of Strawberry.
They were assisted by a marine biologist and divers from the Stanislaus and Calaveras County dive teams. The search began yesterday after several attempts to find the body last year failed because the depth of the lake was too deep as well as poor visibility in the water.
Although no identification has been made, investigators think the body may be of a Stockton area man who has been missing since 1998.
