Bad Food Recalled

An Arizona food company is recalling an unspecified number of packaged sausage and egg biscuits. Officials say the biscuits may be contaminated with listeria, a potentially deadly bacteria. MarketFare Foods of Phoenix says one illness has been reported because of the product.

The company says the bacteria was discovered by the Florida Department of Agriculture and the Food and Drug Administration.

The “Deli Pride Egg, Sausage, and Cheese Biscuits´´ subject to recall are packaged in four-ounce boxes. It was distributed to 35 states, including California. Listeria food poisoning can cause high fever, severe headaches, neck stiffness and nausea.
