The Nevada Highway Patrol closed U.S. Highway 395 in both directions south of Reno late Wednesday afternoon while investigating reports of shots fired at a Washoe County deputy´s car.
Traffic was at a standstill for miles in both directions of Pleasant Valley between Reno and Carson City during the evening rush hour.
