Crews Make Good Progress On “Copper”Fire

Green Valley residents are going back home after a wildfire in northern L.A. County forced them to flee. The so-called Copper Fire is now more than halfway surrounded. The wildfire has scorched about 23,000 acres and burned nine homes and several outbuildings. Firefighters got some help from Mother Nature Saturday. Morning coastal fog and higher humidity allowed them to surround the fire, which is expected to be fully contained by tomorrow.

Meanwhile, a 20,000 acre wildfire in Ventura County remains about 25% contained.
