A mountain lion was spotted on Jackson Street near East Lyons Street last night.

Sonora police arrested a Wal-Mart employee yesterday for allegedly “under ringing” merchandise at the Sanguinetti Road store.

The police are investigating the report of someone trying to sell guns to seniors at the Sonora Senior Center on Greenley Road.

Several kids were caught throwing firecrackers at passing cars on South Washington Street last evening.

Officers are investigating the report of a window shot-out during the night on the 400-block of South Washington Street, and the theft of a cell phone and $40 cash from an unlocked vehicle on Stockton Road. A man reported losing his wallet somewhere around the Gold Country Gas on South Washinton Street.
