Texan H. Ross Perot is backing off promises to testify any time and any place. That´s his word to a state committee probing his company´s blueprint to game California´s electricity market.
Perot, a two-time candidate for president, now says he won´t be available to testify until next month. He also says he won´t deliver requested documents to the state senate committee.
The committee alleges that Perot Systems Corporation showed energy companies how to manipulate California for higher prices. The company denies any wrongdoing.
