Today is opening day for most of California choose and cut Christmas tree farms. The California Christmas tree Association says a supplies are ample and that consumers should expect prices similar to last years Some growers are offering free tree to members of the armed services in their area.
A number of tree farms are located in the Mother Lode area, including Columbia, Sonora, Twain Harte and West Point
