Wildfire Looters Face Stiff Sentences

Prosecutors say they will seek stiff sentences against people charged with looting homes during the Southern California wildfires.

Five suspects were arrested during the San Bernardino County wildfires and one man was arrested in San Diego County.

Another alleged crime has become a federal case. John Herrera Junior of Colorado was arrested last week after allegedly stealing nearly five thousand dollars worth of firefighting equipment. He could face a maximum of five years in federal prison.
