Calaveras County Area firefighters quickly contained a fire burning in Mountain Ranch this morning.
An outbuilding was destroyed by flames and fire had spread into the surrounding grass. The fire was first reported at 7:40 a.m. on the 8500 block of Cave city Road in Mountain Ranch.
Firefighters responding to the fire said they could see smoke from San Andreas. The fire was contained at 8:10 a.m.
