The California Highway Patrol reports a Valley Springs man was arrested for drunk driving this weekend after an accident on Comanche Parkway South.
The CHP says 42 year-old John Gordon ran a stop sign at Chili Camp Road, then ran off the roadway hitting a barbed wire fence. In the 1995 Jeep Cherokee with him was a 8 year old girl. Neither were injured in the mishap.
In another crash, the highway patrol says 42 year-old Danna Lewis of Sonora lost control of her Jeep ran off Highway 4 near Stallion Way in Copperoplis. The Jeep began airborne and rolled over a fence.
She was taken to Mark Twain Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The Sonora woman was arrested for driving under the influence after the accident.
