Yosemite Gets Large Donation

A conservation group has donated $4.2 million to Yosemite National Park to fund park preservation and restoration projects. The nonprofit Yosemite Fund has provided the park with more than $20 million since 1989.

The money has funded about 150 projects for habitat restoration, trail repair, wildlife management and research.

The group is trying to raise another $1.8 million by next spring for a restoration project at Lower Yosemite Falls.
