Firefighters battled a grass fire Wednesday evening in East Sonora along Highway 108 and Hillsdale Road near the Indian Rock Center. Fire burnt on both side of the highway and at one time was headed towards some structures. That fire started just after 6 p.m.
Firefighters estimate the blaze burnt 1 acre on north side and 1/2 acre on south side of highway.
