Mountain Springs Open House Planned

Developers of the proposed Mountain Springs project are holding two open house sessions — Tuesday and Wednesday — to update the community on the housing development and get public input.

Manager Ron Kopf says the sessions — held from noon to 6:30 p.m. each day — will be informal. “We are looking at what the best solution is for the Mountain Springs community and how it can address a portion of that future growth,” Kopf said.

The open houses will be self-guided, with information on the proposed community posted on boards and handouts. “I will be there as well as other representatives of Mountain Springs to answer specific questions,” Kopf said.

Kopf added developers are working with previous public input, and hope to show them where the project has changed. “There will be handouts with the same information that will be displayed on the boards, so if people want to review things in more detail later, they can take those with them.”

He said the open house sessions are to have people get out and see Mountain Springs. “There are a lot of people who have not been to the clubhouse at Mountain Springs,” he said. “They can see what the community looks like and review the information and get their questions answered.”

The open house sessions will be held at the Mountain Spring Golf Clubhouse on Lime Kiln Road in Sonora.
