At least four newspaper vending racks were stolen from in front of the Columbia Post office.
Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Department investigators say estimated loss for just one of the newspaper boxes is $415, including the box and coins in the box. Deputies say chains were cut to free the metal boxes.
